these sweet wee ones were the first appointment during my fall mini session day.  i love morning light.  there's something soft and magic about the way the sun breaks through the leaves.  i really wish more clients wanted to get up early and hang out in the morning sunshine! 

i love it when clients come back!  and i love it when clients dress to match the theme!  could they be ANY cuter?!?  i think not!

hey friends!  sorry it's been so quiet around here.  seems that having a new baby and working a full-time day job doesn't leave much time for ANYTHING else - including photography.  i haven't been doing much marketing... and therefore i haven't been doing much shooting!  well let me rephrase that, i haven't been doing much shooting of clients.  but i've been shooting this little girl like crazy!

elle dee has been quiet lately because i'm on maternity leave for a couple months.  but don't think i haven't been busy!  mercy sakes alive, i've been busy!

my little one has yet to cooperate for one 'photoshoot'.  i needed photos with mommy - needed them - badly.  and let me tell you, we worked for these!  you'll notice one (discrete) nursing shot... i spent about 45 minutes soothing/nursing in order to get a few cooperative photos.  never mind the fact that she had eaten 15 minutes before we started!  i prayed that the child we were expecting would not be a dud... i'm pretty sure i got what i prayed for!

isn't it appropriate that the most difficult newborn i have ever worked with is my own child?!?  she wasn't at all excited about her photoshoot.  and she let me know when she went poo all over my blanket!  little rascal. 

despite her efforts i was able to capture a few of my beautiful girl. 

she might be trying to teach me patience but this momma has will power - i'll be coming back for more another day!
