elle dee has been quiet lately because i'm on maternity leave for a couple months.  but don't think i haven't been busy!  mercy sakes alive, i've been busy!

my little one has yet to cooperate for one 'photoshoot'.  i needed photos with mommy - needed them - badly.  and let me tell you, we worked for these!  you'll notice one (discrete) nursing shot... i spent about 45 minutes soothing/nursing in order to get a few cooperative photos.  never mind the fact that she had eaten 15 minutes before we started!  i prayed that the child we were expecting would not be a dud... i'm pretty sure i got what i prayed for!

isn't it appropriate that the most difficult newborn i have ever worked with is my own child?!?  she wasn't at all excited about her photoshoot.  and she let me know when she went poo all over my blanket!  little rascal. 

despite her efforts i was able to capture a few of my beautiful girl. 

she might be trying to teach me patience but this momma has will power - i'll be coming back for more another day!

this family was so much fun - i just love photographing kids at this age!  here's a little peek for mom... lots more goodness to come!  oh and by the way, bet you can't not smile...

and here's a small example of why i love photographing this age.  i merely said i wanted to get a picture of his pretty eyes.  that was all the motivation he needed to give me this ::
